AES Ohio upgrades to new customer system
August 22, 2024
AES Ohio, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), is investing in new digital solutions to better serve our customers. Beginning August 28, we will be undergoing a system upgrade to replace a 25-year-old customer system with new technology. This will serve as a foundation for improving and simplifying the customer experience.
“For over 110 years, you have trusted us to deliver reliable energy services, our commitment has always been to power lives seamlessly,” says Tom Raga, president of AES Ohio. “We are making everything from payments to account management more intuitive and straightforward.”
After the upgrade, you will notice:
- More flexible and user-friendly payments and account management
- New account numbers on a redesigned bill
- More options to start and stop service
With any system upgrade, we understand change is not easy and we are committed to helping you stay informed and engaged throughout this process. That’s why we’ve dedicated additional resources and customer care agents to help answer any questions you may have along the way.
During the transition, our customer system will have limited operations from August 28 beginning at 5:00 PM until September 4 at 9:00 AM. Online and phone payment options will be unavailable. Outage reporting will remain available both online at aes-ohio.com/outages and by calling 877-4OUTAGE (877-468-8243).
