What is different on a net metering bill?
If you install solar panels or other distributed generation at your home or business, the Usage Detail section of your AES Ohio bill will change. You will see these changes only after your application for interconnection is approved and a net meter is installed.
Please note: if you have an alternate generation supplier, the supplier will receive both usage inputs from AES Ohio to calculate the appropriate supply charges.

- Actual: measure of energy AES Ohio delivers to a customer
- Received: measure of energy a customer puts back on the grid
- Net: net measure of energy equal to Actual minus Received
- Actual - Received = Net
