At AES Ohio, we encourage our people to be active participants in the communities we serve and recognize that fostering a spirit of engagement builds stronger, more resilient communities.

By actively participating in volunteer activities and board service, we are driven to make a lasting impact and strengthen the communities within our 24-county service territory.

Through our partnerships with non-profit organizations, we strive to address various local needs including workforce development, education and social services. Our employees are actively engaged with company-wide events including Day in the Parks and River Clean-up, benefiting Five Rivers Metro Parks, National Rebuilding Day, benefiting Rebuilding Together, and United Rehabilitation Services Rubber Duck Regatta, benefitting kids and adults with disabilities in our community.

Through a partnership with Building Bridges and the leadership of AES Ohio people, 180 gifts were collected, wrapped and donated to support families in need during the 2024 Angel Tree Holiday Drive.

Our people support the mission of Shoes 4 the Shoeless by providing new tennis shoes and socks to 200 elementary school children at Imagine School and by hosting a Socktober Drive to ensure children have basic necessities during the winter months.

In March 2024, our team helped the Indian Lake community with cleanup efforts after an EF-3 tornado devastated that community.
