AES Ohio releases 2024 Community Impact Report

Today, AES Ohio, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), released its 2024 Community Impact Report, Powering Iconic Moments. This year’s report showcases how our investments, partnerships, and people continue to shape the quality of life in West Central Ohio. From energizing transformative community initiatives to supporting innovation and resilience, our impact goes far beyond powering homes and businesses.
Collectively through AES Ohio and the AES Ohio Foundation, $2 million was distributed to 72 nonprofit organizations. Discover more about the investments and community engagement in our 2024 Powering Iconic Moments Community Impact Report. AES Ohio does not pass on the cost of its community investments or advertising to customers.

Highlights from AES Ohio’s 2024 Community Impact Report include:
Economic development
- AES Ohio is enhancing the region's infrastructure, paving the way for economic development, advanced manufacturing and community growth. This initiative includes an innovative site that will improve the capacity and reliability of electric service in Fayette County and the entire AES Ohio transmission system.
Education and employment readiness
- The AES Ohio Foundation awarded a grant to Clothes That Work to equip job seekers with essential skills for personal and professional success through their Workforce Education Initiative.
Health and human services
- The AES Ohio Gift of Power program completed its nineth year providing emergency assistance to customers struggling to pay their winter heating bills.
The arts
- The AES Ohio Foundation and Dayton Art Institute have partnered for 39 years, helping to fulfill its mission to enrich lives and serve the community by creating meaningful experiences with art available to all.
