Kristina Lund is the President and CEO of AES’ US Utilities – AES Indiana and AES Ohio –  providing safe, reliable and affordable electric service to more than one million customers. Under Kristina’s leadership, AES’ US Utilities are leading the inclusive clean energy transition with new technologies to meet our customers’ most critical objectives in a sustainable way.

Previously, Kristina served as AES’ Chief Product Officer of Carbon-Free Energy with responsibility for the development of innovative around-the-clock renewable energy products, including opportunities created under AES’ strategic alliance with Google. Kristina also served in two regional Chief Financial Officer positions for AES’ Eurasia and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean businesses. In total, Kristina drove financial performance and strategic execution for our businesses in 13 countries, representing more than $10 billion in assets.

Prior to her Chief Financial Officer roles, she served as the Vice President of the Corporate Strategy and Investment Group, leading the establishment of AES’ first companywide carbon emissions reduction target.  Since joining AES in 2006, Kristina has accelerated our financial impact and transformation through positions in several groups across the finance organization, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Financial Planning and Analysis and Investor Relations.

Kristina is Chair of IPALCO Enterprises, Inc., and DPL Inc. She also is deeply embedded in local Indiana and Ohio communities and serves on the board of directors of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Indiana Energy Association, United Way of Central Indiana, Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.

Kristina graduated from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. She resides in the Indianapolis area with her husband and their two sons.
